What's the difference between regular TOMS shoes and vegan ones?

.I'm looking to purchase a pair of TOMS shoes and I thought they were all animal friendly, but I saw special vegan ones. What do regular TOMS have that aren't vegan?

Details:

  1. Hey! I thought I might be able to help you out considering I'm Vegan and know a little about this stuff. The vegan lifestyle practiced by millions around the world extends beyond a meatless and dairy-free diet. Prompted by a desire to avoid using animal-based materials such as leather or snakeskin, many vegans choose footwear often called vegetarian or vegan shoes. Vegan shoes are constructed from non-leather materials such as canvas, hemp, polyurethane, rubber, Spandex or cotton. There are also composite materials used in vegetarian shoes that duplicate the feel and appearance of cow leather or suede. Individual shoe companies often have a proprietary blend of cotton and polyurethane which they market as a vegan-friendly leather substitute.
